I reported in today’s newspaper that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs had agreed to settle a lawsuit over allegations of religious censorship at Houston National Cemetery.
The case has attracted national attention, sparking outraged radio tirades, angry letters from lawmakers, and a July 4 protest at the cemetery. VA officials denied the accusations of “religious hostility” and pointed out that invoking the names of God or Jesus is not only allowed, but common at VA cemeteries across the country."
